Quadblogging

Over the past few weeks we have been Quadblogging in Badger class!  We have grouped with three other schools around the world (one in Leeds in the north of England, one in Australia and one in America).  We have learnt loads from them - the school in Australia has a farm attached to it, they have cows, sheep and lamas.  In America, the children recently met a helicopter pilot in their topic about transport.  The children in Leeds are learning almost exactly the same things as us, they do big writing and have posted stuff about the great fire of London.  We love learning about children in other parts of the world!

Questions for Dave

Badgers, and the rest of year 2, are REALLY lucky to have an artist agree to answer some questions about his art work!  Dave Kirkwood is an artist who has a drawn a fantastic picture of the Micro-Mob, have a look at an earlier post for more info.

In literacy we talked about open and closed questions, we wrote them on sugar paper in pairs, then chose our best ones.

Dave - here are the three very best questions from Badger class (there are another six questions coming from the other two classes!)

1. What inspired you to draw the Micro-mob monsters? (Francesco)

2.  Why did you want to be an artist? (Maddie)

3. Why are so good at drawing? (Barrie)

We can't wait to hear your answers!

Monsters in Badger Class

Here is Francesco's description of his micro-mob monster!

The monster has a triangle body with dots, very long wings with a brick pattern on them.  He has head spikes that have a stripe pattern on them.  He is a cartoon hero in monster world, he is as fast Usian Bolt, shoots lasers out of his dots and can look everywhere.

Micro Mob!

Today was Badger Class' first day with Mr Davies in year 2!  The Badgers spent the afternoon working on our Take One Picture project.  We are using a picture by the artist Dave Kirkwood, he only finished it last week!  Follow this link to get a sneak peak at what he's done and why...

Have you done anything for charity?  What would your monster look like?
